Interesting quote... I think some (more religious) people would interpret this to mean that if you are truly religious then you are really living. However, I read it the other way around... really living this life we are given IS true religion. Spirituality is found in being a good person and making the most of every moment.

You're correct; there are those that would spin these words to fit their beliefs...and, sadly, some of the time it is to reinforce negativity, like the I am different/better than you need. To me, that's the downfall of organized religion.

I absolutely love this quote; it's so clear, positive and refreshing. No matter who one chooses to honor as the focus of their chosen religion, it reminds us that we are part of the equation; an integral part of the experience. that is. Whether that means loves thy neighbor like thy self or to remember our own inner nobility, it remains the same. True religion is real living.
