Sharing My Blog Reader Update #1

As I stated in my first "Sharing My Blog Reader With My Blog Readers" post, reading is an integral part in how I acquire information and new perspectives. Give me a link to an enlightening or inspiring read on the net and you are held in high esteem by me. Now and again, though, I declutter my blog reader because, even though I love to add all of the interesting new blogs I come across, I don't have time to page through clutter or read things that don't interest me any longer. Learning to edit my life has been one of the most positive things I have ever done for myself.

Since the last post, I've been busy following "Recent Post" notices on the bottom of comments and finding some terrific "New Finds". One thing I've realized is that my eagerness for home life and personal finance blogs has waned. In its place, excitement about flexing my creative muscles and tickling my funny bone has
developed. Right now, blog niches in the areas of personal style and those written with a humorous spin are getting an extra long look. I am feeding off the happy, playful spirit right now, I tell ya!

To see what will enlighten and inspire me for the next while, check out these awesome blogs (new changes are in bold).

I hadn't realized how 'static' my GoogleReader had become until I realized that I was following people on Twitter that I LOVED but had never visited their blogs. So I stepped out of my comfort zone and starting meeting new people again!

Suzanne... this post made me cry! I was LITERALLY just sitting here, wondering if it's getting to be time to quit blogging. When I saw my blog in the first section of this post, I thought, "Aw... that's sweet. Thanks for the link luv, and I wish I could figure out how to change that display in the reader!" But then, when I got to the Life Interests folder, and read the note... I can't explain it... it was like someone giving me a glass of cold water after a long walk across the Sahara. Does that make any sense?

Anyway, thank you. And, personal mushy stuff aside: I really like this series. It's like peeking into your mind and seeing your thought process unfold. Very cool. :)

Good stuff to declutter your google reader, letting go and daring to move on.
We have a regular exercise to do that in real life as well.
I learned moving on and decluttering is very healthy, it is not personal just a reflection of the flow.
I love flowing with your for the moment.

It does tend to surprise us that way sometimes. I make it a point of trying to check out both personas; the blog and the twitter account. Sometimes I like one only and sometimes I like both.

Have fun!

You're very welcome. I decided to share a part of myself this way because I try to keep TCOYou relevant to its niche while also showing my efforts to take care of myself. No better way of doing that than clearing clutter to better enjoy what I spend my time reading!

Warning personal mushy stuff alert:

I still remember your feedback when I had thought of quitting. You were there for me then and I am thankful I was there for you now.

I totally *get* the drink of water reference. You know the readers are out there. You also feel their presence through their comments. However, it does feel different when you get to see your impact in a different way. Lisis, you are genuine, you are extremely insightful and there would be the sense of something missing if we weren't able to have a peek inside your world any longer.

I've kind of sensed something in your thoughts that I've seen on Twitter and such. Plus I'm a bit worried for you about how the Vermont winter is going to effect you.

Keep an eye on your instrument panel...trust your training...you will come out of the clouds and see the ground again.

End of mushy alert.

Thanks. It was a single post that turned into a series. I'm having fun seeing the evolution also and I hope it serves its teaching purpose to those that read it...to illustrate that it's OK to let go of what doesn't serve us any longer. Life changes and so should we.

"Daring to move on"...it really does feel like that sometimes. You said it perfectly Wilma.

Suzanne Sergis said...

Thanks for your feedback Zeenat. I'm relatively new to the blogging world but it is my small way of sharing other great blogs with anyone I can. :-)

Suzanne Sergis said...

Hi Crabby! I just found Cranky Fitness and, as the person who pointed you out indicated, there's a guaranteed chuckle in nearly every one of your posts. :-)

Hi Jo-Lynne :-)

Hi Suzanne, I'm very flattered to be on this list, especially after seeing some of the big names that have been cut out (hehe). Thank you very much!

Suzanne Sergis said...

Hi Albert. You're very welcome.

I checked out your blog once awhile back based on a comment you left on another blog. Your blog was nicely written but not anything I needed to read at the time. A short time ago, I checked back again (because of a recent post title on another comment). This time, your recent posts resonated with what I need to read right now and so you were added into the mix. :-)
